Sherwin-Williams store opens, Doctors Care coming
(Posted 12-28-05)
A Sherwin-Williams paint
store recently opened around the corner from Ivy Hall, making paint
shopping more convenient than ever for residents. The store is on S.C.
Highway 41 about a block off U.S. Highway 17.
In other development news, a
Doctors Care facility is planned near our entrance along Highway 17. A
sign posted at the site erroneously says the facility will open in the
fall of 2005, but it surely means the fall of 2006.
Doctors Care, according to
its Web site, has served South Carolina for over 20 years and has more
than 30 locations in this state and Tennessee. The company provides an
array of medical services in convenient locations where doctors are
available during many hours when regular doctors offices are closed.
The Doctors Care facility is
the first of many businesses set to come to the north side of our
entrance along 17. The parcel is zoned commercial and part of the Laurel
Grove master plan. Tractors have already started clearing trees for the
road that will lead to these businesses.
We'll continue to announce
the names of nearby developments as we hear of them.
